$176K Grant to Meet Critical Need of Norwalk Children

NORWALK, CT - January 16, 2013 - The Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County has announced that funding has been approved by the Grossman Family Foundation to establish a 3rd Child FIRST team for the City of Norwalk.

Funding in the amount of $176,353 was secured as a result of a grant submitted by the Norwalk Public Schools to the Grossman Family Foundation.

The Center is pleased and proud to partner with the Norwalk Public Schools who identified the critical need for additional Child FIRST services for our community's most vulnerable clients.

Child FIRST is a home visitation model that provides home-based intensive support services to help families identify the earliest signs of emotional, behavioral or developmental problems, understand how critically important they are to the growth and development of their children, and learn how to respond to them.
