Executive Director Letter

Welcome! Thank you for visiting The Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County (The Center).
With your support, The Center helps children, adolescents and their families recover from the trauma of behavioral and mental health challenges such as: anger, frustration, depression, fighting, and disruption of family, school and community, with the goal of children becoming happy, staying at home (as opposed to residential placement or hospitalization), making positive choices, and graduating from school.
Since 1956, The Center has provided its specialized psychotherapeutic services and treatment programs to thousands of our community's at risk children, youth and families.
We invite you to search our website for more information on the services we offer (from prevention through our before and after school programs, outpatient services for adolescents, children, and families, to in-home programs for mothers and their children to age 6, and to a 5-day/week intensive program for seriously emotionally troubled youth).
Children who are troubled can be helped to a brighter future, and the earlier we engage them, the better the result. Your interest and support makes our programs and services accessible to all who need help. We could not meet the needs of our community without you.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or if you would like to visit the program.
It is only through the interest and commitment of interested friends and supporters that we can ensure the continued delivery of The Center's specialized behavioral health offerings without compromise or interruption.
Together we can help families and change lives.
Sincerely,
