As a result of a competitive Request for Qualifications from the Connecticut Center for Effective Practice (CCEP) of the Child Health and Development Institute (CDHI) for Connecticut Collaboration on Effective Practices for Trauma (CONCEPT), the Center was invited to lead a team with members of our regional Department of Children & Families (DCF) to be a member of the TF-CBT (Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) Learning Collaborative.
The Center was chosen by community agencies to be the lead agency of the Norwalk Replication Team for Child FIRST, partnering with Family & Children's Agency (FCA) and Norwalk Community Health Center (NCHC).
Norwalk Public Schools - The Center's before and after school program, After the Bell, offers a safe, healthy and enriched academic environment for children at the Kendall Elementary School (with the highest number and percentage of free or reduced lunch families in Norwalk). It is open from 6:30 am until school starts, and again from the end of the academic day until 6:30 pm to accommodate working parents (often single parent households).
Carver Center provides spaces for our youth to go on their College Tour every spring ($1,000 each), and collaborates with our after school program Choices for Success on other activities including Scrabble competitions, career day, and SAT prep.
Stamford Child Guidance Clinic refers youth to us who need the intensity and consistency of our Extended Day Treatment program and our CAP (Child & Adolescent Psychiatry) services.

Consultation to Headstart - the Center's early childhood consultant provides weekly consultation to staff of the NEON Headstart program to facilitate an environment conducive to early learning and social/emotional growth.
Consultation to Stepping Stones Museum Early Language and Literacy (ELLI) Lab School - the Center provides a social service consultant to ELLI to assist the program in providing emotional needs of children, and staff support for program staff.
